NLF National Championships Standout
Umansky was excellent at the NLF Elite 120, and he followed it up with a dynamic performance throughout the weekend. He got the party started in style with the game-winning goal (see above) off of a pretty give-and-go with NLF No. 30 Ryan Nagle (Duxbury) off the fast break. A thick, powerfully-built faceoff guy, Umansky plays big, too, using his strength and power to overpower opponents. He’s also got quick hands, which, combined with everything else, make him a tough matchup. Umansky certainly isn’t afraid to muck it up, either, and competes hard for ground balls.
Very rare I ever throw a non Philly faceoff guy a compliment, but after watching him at the @OnePctShowcase I gotta give him a shoutout. 2023 Owen Umansky of @LXCMinutemen is the truth. Scary what he could turn into by the time he gets to college.

One Percent Showcase Evaluation
All-Star. Umansky has an ideal mentality at the X and the slow pulse not to get jumpy after he’s won the ball. He often wins it forward and is bigger than most faceoff men, giving him the chance to assert himself on the ground afterward or when the ball is loose. Umansky loves to scrap and assert his physical dominance and can simply overpower a lot of his opponents. He’s got quick hands and is precise and poised in his distribution with the ball.
