Senior-laden Dublin Jerome made its third straight appearance in the Division I state title game. The younger St. Xavier squad returned for the first time since 2019 after knocking off the defending state champions Upper Arlington in the semifinals. A total of 24 players between the two teams play club lacrosse for NLF affiliate member Resolute Lacrosse

Marek Tzagournis, a senior Denver signee recently named to the National All-Star Game powered by Nike, capped his career off in style. Tzagournis, who recently broke Cornell coach Connor Buczek‘s state record for most points in a career, shined bright in his finale with five goals to lead Dublin Jerome to a 12-10 win for the Ohio state title.

With the Bombers up by one midway through the third, the Celtics got rolling with a scoring spree that gave them the lead for good. Sophomore Gavin Dean (Resolute) knotted the game up at six, then Darren Seikel gave Dublin Jerome the lead. Tzagournis, the Ohio Player of the Year, hammered home a pair of goals to push the Celtics’ lead to three.
