Landon (Md.) made a statement in a battle of the DMV’s top two teams.

MadLax 2024 LSM Davis Owens was a force for the Bears. The senior Tufts LSM commit scored twice, picked up five ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers as Landon knocked off Bullis, 13-8.

“He’s great on-ball, but transition, I think that’s his strength,” fellow MadLax 2024 Anthony Panetti (Bucknell) told Christian Swezey of Inside Lacrosse. “He netted two goals today. That’s what he does. … If we see [Owens] coming down the field one-on-one, all the attackmen run to the endline and just let him shoot. That’s our philosophy.”

Lafayette commit and MadLax 2025 faceoff midfielder Talan Smith was great at the faceoff stripe down the stretch to help the Bears pull away.
