For a while, it looked like McDonogh (Md.) was going to cruise to an easy win over Chaminade (N.Y.) in a battle of two of the country’s top teams.

The Eagles rolled to a huge early lead, but then had to fend off the Flyers’ comeback attempt to finish with a 12-10 win in a neutral site game at Salesianum (Del.). NLF No. 1 junior Brendan Millon (Team 91 Maryland / Virginia) buried four goals for the Eagles, including a silky-smooth BTB off of a slick Blake Resnick feed. Five-star junior goalie Aidan Seibel (Team 91 Maryland / Maryland) was stout in the cage and helped fend off the Flyers’ furious rally with a superb point-blank save in the final minute.

Standout lefty sophomore James Gillis (Long Island Express) and four-star junior Gavin Lynch (Long Island Express / Notre Dame) paced the Flyers with a hat trick apiece.
