Griffin Grant talked the talk and more than walked the walk.
The Torrey Pines (Calif.) senior and West Coast Starz 2022 attackman had a lot to say before the Falcons took on SoCal rival La Costa Canyon.
“I would call it a rivalry, but I wouldn’t call it a competition. I feel like we take care of them pretty easily,” he told the San Diego Union Tribune prior to the game.
It’s safe to say that racking up 13 points is more than backing it up. The Notre Dame signee, ranked No. 33 in the NLF’s ’22 rankings, dished out nine assists and netted four goals in leading Torrey Pines to an 18-6 rout of LCC.
Jacob Mendez found the back of the net four times for the Falcons, who also got a hat trick from four-star ’24 Blake Washburn (West Coast Starz).
