“He’s the best goalie in the class,” Western Reserve coach Dylan Sheridan said.

Much like three of the five five-star ’23 goalies, Coryea doesn’t have ideal size for the position. Despite that, he’s an elite keeper who’s very fluid, almost unbeatable on low shots and one who moves side-to-side exceptionally well. Coryea commands the defense well. He has an advanced understanding of who’s supposed to slide and where they’re supposed to go. Coryea will be a four-year starter at one of the Midwest’s premier prep programs.

“He knows the slides for the defense, which is something that you don’t often see goalies understand at that age,” Resolute coach Matt Lee said. “Tyler knows who’s the 1, who’s the 2, and that really helps him. He’s a very good leader on the field.”
