Make it back-to-back NLF Summer Kickoff championships for Leading Edge 2028.
The New Jersey-based NLF founding member was an absolute force all weekend long en route to their second straight NLF June title. Leading Edge outscored its opponents 40-5 in pool play before handling a pair of fellow NLF founding members in Laxachusetts and Team 91 Long Island Venom in Sunday’s playoffs.
Patrick Smith (Westfield, N.J.) netted a hat trick to lead the way for the champs. Teddy Whitehouse (Rumson-Fair Haven, N.J.) snapped home two more, and Liam Haggerty added a goal to help Leading Edge to another dominant performance.
Colton O’Connell (St. Anthony’s, N.Y.) was exceptional in the Team 91 cage with double-digit saves. The Manhasset, N.Y. duo of William Mondiello and Tommy Kasselakis found the back of the net for the Venom.
