Move over, Calvert Hall. There’s another three-time MIAA champion in the books.

NLF No. 1 junior Brendan Millon (Team 91 Maryland / Virginia) scored a hat trick and added three assists to help McDonogh topple Boys’ Latin, 14-12, for the Eagles’ third consecutive MIAA championship. McDonogh became only the second team to win three straight league titles after Calvert Hall pulled off the feat in 2017-19.

The Eagles got two goals from sophomore Hunter Metz (Crabs) as part of a three-goal stretch that spanned 1:42 before the end of the first half to go into the break up 8-6. Millon set up three straight goals – two to Metz, one to four-star senior Luke Miller (Notre Dame) – to stretch McDonogh’s lead in the third quarter. Five-star junior goalie Aidan Seibel (Team 91 Maryland / Maryland) denied a baker’s dozen worth of shots sent his way to preserve the win after a monster effort in the semifinals.

Five-star senior Spencer Ford (Crabs / Maryland) and five-star junior Matty Higgins (Team 91 Long Island / West Coast Starz / Maryland) led the Lakers with a hat trick apiece.
